Update on Carol Gilbert, Ardeth Platte and Jackie Hudson
Many of you have been following the news of the three nuns who are serving prison time for their nonviolent plowshare action at a Colorado missle site in October, 2002. Carol is serving two years and nine months; Ardeth was sentenced to three years and five months; Jackie was ordered to serve two years and six months. There is the possibility that their terms will be slightly shorter for “good” behavior.
Jonah House, the community of resistance where Carol and Ardeth live, is posting all three women’s letters from prison. They can be found at <www.jonahhouse.org>. These letters are inspiring and reflect the beauty and depth of three blessed people who have dedicated their lives to peace.
