Peace Statement from the Neahtawanta Center Board
Related to the events of September 11, 2001
We utterly condemn the violent attacks carried out on September 11 in New York City, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania.

We grieve for the victims of this attack.

We believe that those responsible for this heinous crime must be relentlessly prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

With all of our hearts we oppose, however, any use of violence by our government in which innocent people may be victims, for such violence is wrong and only breeds yet more violence.

We believe that now is the time to consider what proportion our government's past and present policies have in the root causes of this tragedy and to act accordingly and wisely.
