News From the Center
Thank You
Our deepest thanks to all of you who responded to our annual request for membership contributions to support our work at the Center. We are humbled by the generous response. Since we do not receive large grants from foundations, the support of our members is the mainstay of our funding. We operate on a small and frugal budget and stretch each donation dollaryou won't find any $500 toilet seats here! We will be sending out our donor thank you letter before the end of the year. If you haven't had a chance to send us a donation, we appreciate donations any time!
Neahtawanta's Partnership with NMEAC
The Neahtawanta Center has entered into a working partnership with the Northern Michigan Environmental Action Council (NMEAC) by forming an environmental education committee. Our tasks are to publish NMEAC's newsletter, plan educational programs to be held in Traverse City, and to organize the Neahtawanta resource library by topic. We are also forming a subcommittee to plan events for Earth Day in the Traverse City area. If you would like to participate on this committee please call Sally at the Center, 2237315.
