The Traverse Area peace community gathered on July 26, 2003 to protest the sentencing of the Carol Gilbet, Jackie Hudson and Ardeth Platte, the three Nuns who were found guilty by the courts for their plowshare action at a Colorado missle site in October 2002.

Gilbert was sentenced to a term of two years and nine months. Hudson’s term will be two years and six months and Platte was ordered to serve three years and five months. They must also pay $3,080 in restitution and serve three years of supervised probation.

Carol and Ardeth are well known to our peace community and spoke in Travere City before they were sentenced.
